At Strand We Thrive

The Thrive Approach is used at Strand Primary to focus upon children’s emotional well-being. It offers practical strategies and skills that aim to help understand and manage their emotions and emotional development.

Throughout Strand, Thrive Thursdays involve activities that help children to be able to talk about how they feel and learn strategies to help them manage their emotions positively.

Children may experience challenging situations during their time at school. These may include:

  • Family issues
  • Finding it hard to settle in the classroom
